Speaker 1:

We're trying to replace us here to discuss this story is Sean Morgan. He's an independent journalist. Sean covers stories the mainstream media won't in his newsletter, seanmorganreportcom. And I understand, sean, like as it relates to AI. That was, you know, a little tongue-in-cheek and a little funny entertainment news, but you actually have some breaking news out of Brazil. That's concerning correct?

Speaker 2:

No, not outside of Brazil, but just regarding the announcement that happened for OpenAI a few days after that cryptic tweet on xcom where Sam Altman just said her. Well, what he released days later was an update ChatGPT4 has a lifelike voice. That it is more charismatic than a human is the only way I can describe it. It's flirtatious, actually, and they had a demo where they showed an employee of OpenAI interacting with this AI chatbot with this voice eerily similar to Scarlett Johansson, and it was like two people in love talking.

Speaker 2:

It was bizarre, but we've never seen, ever in the history of humanity, a robot voice that was exactly like I said, even more human than human. That's how warm and charismatic this voice is, and you would never know you would never, never know if you heard it on a phone that it's actually a mindless, soulless robot. And so this is what happened, and this really is pretending a future of emotional and even sexual surrogates with robots and chatbots, and this is what Sam Altman is so excited about. He was so excited to release a robot that has a voice just like a human that he put that tweet out there. Her, which is a movie about a lonely human being who has no human connection whatsoever and fell in love with a robot, and so this is the future, apparently, that Sam Altman is excited about and wants to usher in for us.

Speaker 1:

Well, look, I see many pitfalls or many problems with this kind of technology. Yes, you know, clearly it's a move into the sphere where you know you'll own nothing and you'll be happy and you'll probably not even have a real girlfriend, but you'll have your fake AI girlfriend and you'll be happy too right, because they don't even want us regular people procreating, having families and persisting and you know, and and and and reproducing. But also think about what you said. I mean, the voice is so lifelike, it sounds just like a real person sat in a studio and they recorded it and it is so much like Scarlett Johansson's voice. They can mimic anyone's voices. They can mimic mine and have me call somebody on the phone and say something and record it and pretend it's me.

Speaker 2:

It's so charismatic and so warm, this voice, that they hired a different, real live actress that sounds like Scarlett Johansson. And it's not just her voice that's warm and charismatic they have male voices that are exactly the same that it makes you feel loved. It's exactly when you have a really warm conversation with someone and you hear their voice. You feel loved by them and there's no other power or control that's more powerful than being able to replace that human connection.

Speaker 2:

If you can imagine a company like OpenAI that's in bed with its funders, microsoft, if they could control your emotional intimacy life and even your sexual intimacy life, because that's the direction this is going, there's already an app called Cupidai and they spell Cupid with a K where you chat with an AI model who's obviously completely fake, but then you can request this AI model to send nude pictures of themselves that are obviously completely fake, but you can chat all day with this model and you can have a sexual and or emotional relationship with them. This is already launched, but this is without this advanced human, lifelike voice that has been launched just this past week with Sam Altman's AI, just imagine, because OpenAI has a robotics division. They want to have a human size robot that has human like reasoning capabilities and a human voice. What is to stop OpenAI, microsoft and big tech from launching these types of robot companions? That would basically be a form of artificial prostitution.

Speaker 1:

I don't think there's really much to stop them. I think you're right. You know what? Then they might want to start with President Joe Biden, right, make a robot version of him that they can reboot.

Speaker 2:

That's a little bit easier than having to inject him with some drugs.

Speaker 1:

So, when I see Joe Biden.

Speaker 2:

I think to myself. They've already done it. The Black projects already have this technology and they've already launched it. And he is a robot and he's tricking all of us.

Speaker 1:

I don't know If he's a robot, he's sure malfunctioning too much. That doesn't really speak well of their work. Maybe they'll roll him out for the debate in June, you know, with Donald Trump, because if he performs too well I will have to wonder.

Speaker 2:

He needs an update. They're updating the software constantly on that one.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, maybe, so, maybe so, Sean Morgan, it is scary, it's very scary. I don't want to downplay. You know the implications of this technology, but sometimes we have to have a sense of humor too, or I'll just I'll drive us crazy. So much of this dark stuff. It's good to see you, sean morgan. Thanks for bringing it to our attention, which you did do. You can uh again find his work, sean morgan, at uh. Sean morgan reportcom, correct that's right thanks, sean, great to see you, as always thank you, emerald.
